Running your day

One salon, one diary.

In detail

How a salon runs it.

01
Clients pick a person, or anyone
Online booking offers your team by name, or “Any professional” for whoever has the most availability.
02
Every booking has a name on it
You can see who an appointment is with, and it moves to Needs Checkout when it is due to be paid.
03
Checkout, tips and split payments
Take payment on the booking, add a tip, apply a promo code, or split it across more than one method.
04
One person, more than one salon
Somebody who works across two salons can belong to both and switch between them.
Salon mode

How it works.

Add them, give them a seat
The team list shows how many seats are used, so you always know what you are paying for.
Decide what each one does
Service provider makes them bookable. Separate switches cover managing their own bookings and taking checkout and payments.
And what each one sees
Client contact details, other people's calendars and admin access are three more switches, off until you turn them on.
The day

Everyone's hours, their own.

A weekly schedule each
Everyone keeps their own regular hours, so the booking page only offers times they actually work.
A one-off change, not a rewrite
A different start or finish on a single day is a custom schedule for that day, and it shows on the calendar as a tag.
Or look at one person
Filter the team calendar to a single member's week when you are planning their time rather than running the day.
Pricing

A price per person.

A salon price, and overrides
Every service carries the salon's price and duration. Anyone who charges differently gets their own.
Senior and junior, same menu
The same treatment can take longer and cost more with one member than another, without a second service.
Clients see the right one
The price and the length follow whoever the client picks.
FAQ

Questions, answered.

How many people can I add?
As many as you have seats for. The team list shows how many are used, so what you are paying for is never a surprise.
Can I stop staff seeing clients’ contact details?
Yes. Seeing client contact details is its own switch, as are seeing other people’s calendars and signing in as a salon admin. All three are off until you turn them on.
Can two people charge different prices for the same treatment?
Yes. Each service has a salon price and duration, and any member can have their own. The client sees the right price and length for whoever they book.
Can clients choose who they see?
They pick a member by name when they book, or choose “Any professional” to see the most availability across the team.
Do the rest of Solo’s tools still work?
Yes. Deposits, gift cards, loyalty, consultation forms and the marketing tools all work the same as they do for a single professional.
Can I close the salon for a day?
Yes. A salon can be closed for a day, so nobody takes bookings when the doors are shut.
